Lots of space but also lots of noise. Positive: There is a lot of space across 2 floors for people to spread out which is great. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and the location is excellent if youre looking for Wicker Park bars and restaurants. Negative: It has a real issue with sound insulation. Any movement on any floor is transmitted across the apartment. So as soon as someone wakes on the main floor, those sleeping downstairs will be awoken by anyone walking around. This is also sadly very true of the residents in the flat above who have a small child and kept both people sleeping on the main floor awake regularly. But that is certainly not the fault of the residents. Just a major lack of sound isolation from floor to floor. The entrance door had been damaged and was inoperable when we arrived. For anyone of a nervous disposition, the lack of a working front door might cause concern.
